Privacy Policy

This initial policy explains what Jellydar collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information We Collect

Jellydar may collect account information such as your email address, profile details from your sign-in provider, saved stores, submitted store suggestions, and basic app usage information.

When you search for stores or report sightings, we may process location-related inputs such as a city, ZIP code, store address, or nearby area. We do not need your precise device location to provide the core map experience unless a future feature asks for it clearly.

How We Use Information

We use information to run the Jellydar map, help collectors find and save stores, review community submissions, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and communicate important account or service updates.

We may aggregate or de-identify information so we can understand store coverage, common search areas, and feature usage without identifying individual users.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate authentication, database, hosting, analytics, email, support, or abuse-prevention systems.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect Jellydar and its users, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Data Choices

You can choose not to create an account, though some features such as saving stores may require sign-in. You can also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information.

Browser, device, and sign-in provider controls may let you limit cookies, session storage, or profile information shared with Jellydar.

Data Retention & Security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Jellydar, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain a trustworthy community map.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.

Children

Jellydar is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
